The Travel Hammock was formed in early 2002 after Jon Neff and Kevin Kaiser met the previous summer while backpacking in Thailand. Based on their shared enjoyment and adoration for an outdoor lifestyle the founded not only The Travel Hammock, but a strong friendship as well.  These two adventurous entrepreneurs had an idea, as well as a desire to escape the grasp of traditional work place, and The Travel Hammock was born. 

It all began with a hammock, a product they truly believed in, and they set out to share it with like-minded travel enthusiasts around the world. They began by selling only two styles of hammocks out of the back of a camper and at street fests, concerts and fairs all over the country. Now The Travel Hammock is a world-wide distributor of travel adventure gear and manufactures several styles of hammocks and outdoor accessories designed for the outdoors. 

As The Travel Hammock Inc. has evolved, their product selection has grown to meet the needs of the growing outdoor market.
